A small town nestled between Lyon and the mountains, far from the bustle.
This is where we were born.
For some, a place to pass through; for us, a point of anchorage. For a long time, it lived to the rhythm of textile workshops and garment factories.
Today, it is here that the heart of EVI beats.

Each collection begins in our creative studio, where we imagine, draw, and refine every detail of our designs.
This is where EVI’s lines, volumes, and intention take shape.
It is also where everything is organized.
Creating from Bourgoin means embracing a different rhythm, a different perspective.
It is a choice to do things differently, to stay close to people, close to reality.
ROMANS-SUR-ISÈRE
A city shaped by shoemaking.
For over a century, leather has been worked here with precision, exacting standards, and passion.
Generations of artisans have built a culture of skill and a tradition of quality recognized worldwide.
It is in Romans that we learned everything.
As creators, we worked alongside a master artisan who passed on to us his craftsmanship, his methods, and the rigor unique to the Romanais tradition. It was only natural for us to establish our production here.
Each EVI model is handcrafted in a local workshop that brings together all the skills: cutting, stitching, assembly, finishing.
Everything is done on site, within a limited radius, with constant attention to detail.
Romans is not just a production choice.
It is a valuable proximity, less than an hour from our creative studio, allowing us to meet regularly with the artisans, to adjust, to follow, to understand.
These regular exchanges offer more than simple oversight: they maintain a direct, human relationship with those who give shape to our ideas.
It is this continuity, this bond of trust, that ensures coherence between intention and gesture.
